Valentine Cupid Suspension Heart Card

Hello my Dear friends!
WOW,  I have a lot to share with you today!!
Lot's of FREE Files!!
YES....this one's FREE too!

Early this morning I received an email from Bird, with a very Beautiful and clever Valentine card.
She made the Cupid suspend with clear fishing line.

I couldn't wait to start making this incredible card!
You can view her blog here and sign up to receive all her wonderful Free cutting  files.

Today is her first day on the Design Team KNK and she made this stunning Valentine card to showcase.
You can view her card and instructions and get the FREE file.

This is my version of her Valentine card. I used musical paper from my Christmas pack "Old World Winter" from the paper studio. I cut the base card in black card stock and layered a white and red heart to the black inside base.

This is the other side of the cupid that twirls around. I think next time I will only cut the wings in the musical paper.

This is the front cupid. I didn't have any fishing line so I used thin gold wire.  I chalked the body and then inked the edges. They were sooooo easy to assembly and cut just like butter with my Eclips machine. Birds cutting files and designs are First class!
Thank you Bird for inspiring me to think outside the box...lol

I Love how this card turned out and was thinking, I could put just about anything in the middle and it will dangle. Sooooo fun! A little teddy bear, fancy hearts and more. I'm soooo inspired!
Let me know if you make this card and I will post it here for everyone to enjoy.

I created the XOXO cutout and made a shadow layer but I only used the cutout.

I am going to start making sentiments for Valentines and will be offering the scut files FREE.
Leave a  comment if you would enjoy receiving them and I will post one each posting. Also, let me know if  you Love them and use them on your creations and I will post your card here.
To get the sentiment scut file  click on the link below.
ENJOY!

That's it for today folks!
I hope I've inspired you as much as Bird inspired me this morning.
Have a wonderful Thursday and keep watching for more out of the box creations.

Hugs!

Beautiful Butterfly Shaped Card

Hello again my crafty friends!
I hope everyone's enjoying their weekend.

I would like to share this beautiful butterfly card  from The Cutting Cafe. This is a very versatile  Butterfly card that can be used for most any occasion. Quick and easy to assemble!
You can get this file below

I cut the card base in pink and embossed the top panel with a dotted folder from Sizzix and used plain black for the back panel.  This file comes with an  envelope and I just happened to have a little dotted butterfly and the perfect color ink to match. How lucky is that! lol

This is one of my NEW itty bitty stamp from Unity Grab Bag sale. They are really deeply etched and ink up great. You might want to grab some!

I used one of my feather butterflies that I had in my stock to accent the top of the butterfly. The black dotted ribbon and twine with gems and glitter finish off the body. I think next time I will only use the twine and dotted ribbon without the gems. Sometimes it's better with less...lol

This is the sentiment from the Grab Bag also. Don't you just love it!

I hope I've inspired you to make this beautiful shaped butterfly card from The Cutting Cafe.
Regina has a great collection to offer.

Valentine Hershey Kiss Treat Box

Hello my crafty friends!
As I write this......it's Snowing! Yes, I know that it's not a Big deal, right? Well, it is for Apple Valley, California. We are in the high desert and it doesn't snow here.  But a few years back, it REALLY snowed a lot and I couldn't even see my street. They said that it was very unusual and hadn't snowed in many many years. Well, it's starting to look like Christmas here...lol  Shhhhh my tree is Still up!
It's sooo pretty! hehe The snow and of course my tree ;)
It will be melted by morning.

I've had a busy week! How about you? Not enough hours in the day for me...LOL
I was wondering why my right arm was hurting until I realized that I had held the mouse way tooooo long.
Do you have days like that too? ;)

I just LOVE this little Hershey Kiss Treat box from The Cutting Cafe.
The printed words are also from the PDF sentiments.
You can get the cut and PDF files below.

Please excuse some of my pictures, my lighting was off.  I've added a few extra pictures so you can really see this adorable Hershey kiss box. It's so sweet and quick to make.

I just Love Helena's Free printable Valentine tags! Check out her link below.

I wrapped some of my fudge in plastic wrap and red and white netting.
It fits perfectly inside the little Hershey box.

This is the back view of the box. The paper pack I used was Recollections Union Square Plaza Union. I love all the cute sayings on this line. They have one sheet that says "You should know that you are CHARMING ADORABLE and ever so sweet". When I have more time, I'm going to make Hershey boxes for my neighbors and friends. Great little box and it's soooo easy to assemble.

The Hershey treat box is very versatile and could be used for Any occasion or Holiday.
I think they will Love it!
I LOVE IT!
You can get this file and PDF by clicking on the link below.
This is the inside of the box after I added the insert piece. You won't believe what I did!
After, I had it glued down, I noticed that I had put it in the wrong way. That Scotch QUICK DRY adhesive Really works FAST!!! I wanted it to be facing  the front as you look into the box.
Well, it was one of those days! :)

The little Bear card sentiment is a FREE dl set from Helena in Sweden. She also has some Beautiful printable Calendars that I use in my office and give out to my friends and office staff. Check out her site and tell her Misty sent you. You will Love all her FREE creations!!!
I have one word for them.....ADORABLE!

Valentine LOVE U Heart Topiary Card

Hello my Crafty friends!
I've been busy getting my Valentine Display boards ready for my craft classes at  Hobby Lobby and also the Aspen clubhouse. Have you had a moment when you start designing and draw a complete blank? Well, I did just! I didn't have a clue what to make or put on my display boards and waited until the LAST minute to finally finish them.
Lisa, my sweet niece in Iowa came to my rescue!  Even though she lives in Iowa, it was like having her right here in Apple Valley. She was the owner of  Lauren's Flower shop in Hemet for many years. She's a professional floral designer and created many gorgeous designs for weddings and elegant events.
One event that I remember was the Bob Hope special in Palm Springs. She received many awards throughout her career and is one of the sweetest gals you would ever want to meet.
Thanks Lisa for being there for me! HUGS!

Yeah! I took the finished board over to Hobby Lobby today and set it up on an easel in the front of the store. Whew! While I was setting it up and getting all my flyers and cards hooked onto the easel, some customers came over and said that they Loved my Beautiful display.
I'll be teaching card classes starting the week of January 7th until Valentines.
I'm going to be REALLY busy!
I Love creating cards and could craft 24-7!!
Hey, I think I need a little dog to bark and remind me it's lunch and dinner....LOL
I don't have any trouble with breakfast, but it's the other ones that seem to fly by.
Does anyone else have that problem???

I look forward to many Happy Crafting hours and meeting new crafters.
I LOVE CRAFTER'S!

Today, I would like to share this adorable Sweet Valentine LOVE U Heart Topiary cutout card.

I just love the way it turned out! I used the PDF printable file from Regina's Cutting Cafe and the sentiment. I made the PDF file into a cutting svg file.

You can get these printable files by clicking the link below.

This is the side view showing how I placed the design on the edge of the card base. I used my Sizzix Eclips and Ecal software and PSP  to construct the card. For the circle scalloped edge, I used Martha Stewart boarder punch and glued a strip of black paper to the back and then white to make the inside piece stronger.

I printed out the sentiment and glued it to a scalloped circle that I ran through my newly won Fiskars machine. Now, I'm waiting to see if I win the extension pack on I believe the 16th of this month. Crossing fingers!! Then I will be able to use all my Big Shot dies. Yippee!
I pieced the red heart onto the black silhouette cutout paper, added gems and added the sentiment.

I pieced the pot and heart to the black silhouette base of the design and also added a few gems.

I really enjoyed making this sweet Valentine Heart Topiary card and hope that I've inspired you today. Regina over at The Cutting Cafe has soooo many wonderful printable and cutting files.
Click on the link above to see them all.

Ok, my friends its been a Loooong Saturday for me, so I will say goodbye for now.
Keep watching for more wonderful creations.
Have a wonderful day!

Cookie Jar Shaped Shaker Card

Hello my crafty friends!
It's a Brand New YEAR!!! 2013!
I hope everyone enjoyed their Holiday!
I drove up to my daughters to be with family and friends. We had lots of fun and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. My son fixed my color printer, so now I can PRINT....YEAH!!!

Starting this week I will be designing for "The Cutting Cafe".
I just Love Regina's files!
I made this Yummy Cookie Jar shaped card into a Shaker card.
You can get this file and a collection of really fun jar files & sentiments by clicking on the link below.

This is a side view!

For the inside I cut out one of the printed cookies and sentiments from the set and mounted it on brown paper then added a cutout cookie.

To make the cookie jar into a shaker card, I cut the shaped card out, then cut six layers of the outer rim of the jar and glued them together. I glued a clear plastic to the back of the six layers and red to the top part. Then I cut some of the cookies out and sprinkled sequin hearts to the base of the card. I took the glued top pieces and glued it over the cookies and hearts. Added a couple cookies on pop-dots and sentiment and topped it off with some black and red twine.
I think it turned simply Yummy!
I hope I have inspired you today, so keep watching for New and exciting creations to come your way.

I have a dear friend that will really enjoy receiving this card.
I made some delicious cookies for her and this Cookie Jar card will just top it off.
In fact, her name is "Cookie".
How Perfect is that!!!

Have a great week and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Hugs
