Apple Bushel and Caramel Apple Ghost

Hi my crafty friends!
Today I would like to share with you a couple of magnets that I made.
This is a piecing file from Little Scraps of Heaven. See the link below.
I first cut a silhouette of the whole basket with the apples in heavy black cardstock. I cut three of each of the apples and basket parts and glued them together so they would be thick.
I pop dotted the apples and barrel pieces to give them definition.

I  inked them with Tim Holtz distressed inks. Great inks!
I added a few white dots with my gelly role pen and a red dotted bow.
On the back I glued a strip of magnet so I could place them on my refrigerator.
They are really sturdy like cardboard. Great for on top of a gift box or on a card or even in a scrapbook.
Ideal gifts for someone special on your list.
The file is from Little Scraps from Heaven.
Tricia has many darling piecing files available and if you sign up for

Pumpkins Chickens and Bear's Oh My!

This is the Cat's meow!!

Hello my dear friends!
It's been in the 80's  in Apple Valley and still feels like summer here. I'm sure it will
soon begin to cool down though. I love this weather!

Today I have lots of special creations to share with you.
Up first is this adorable little cat in a pumpkin paper piecing.

Sweet little cat in a pumpkin from Ka Doodle Bug.
See link below.
I cut out three of each piecing of heavy paper and glued them together to make the whole creation thick and sturdy.
I then added pop dots to make him look 3D.
Great for a refrigerator magnet, on a card or in a scrapbook. I think he would look cute with a ribbon on the top, so you can hang him as a decoration. He would be a great addition on top of a special package.
I Love him!

I used Tim Holtz distressed inks to add more dimension. Did I mention that I Love those inks!
I added some whiskers from my old broom
Never throw out an old broom, you may need it for embellishments on your creations. LOL

I follow Melissa's Facebook page here

Isn't he the cutest little bear you've ever seen?

This cute little bear is also a piecing pattern from Ka Doodle Bug Designs.
Piecing means that each part of him needs to be glued together to create a finished creation.
It does take time with some of the very tiny piece like the leaf stems. I lost them two times and almost gave up and was ready to cut another set ,when I found them under my mouse pad......go figure. LOL
I'm forever loosing eyes, oh not mine hehe

This was one of Melissia's Freebies but is now in her store for only 2.00 dollars.

Oh don't go yet, there's one more :)

This welcome hen is so sweet and is a piecing file and comes with the words Welcome to my nest.

She looks great on my refrigerator!

This cute Chicken is from Ka Doodle Bug Designs. You can get the cutting file below.

Something to Crow about! Black Crow and Cuddly Owl Cards

Hello my friends!

Today I have these cute cuddly little friends to share with you. I made the crow into a cutout card with a green border. These adorable cuddly friends are from Mary's "Autumn Cuddly Friends" kit. See link below.

Here's a close up of the embossed hat and inking.

This one I made into a cutout card with a silhouette base.

 This is Mary's cute Crow!

This is the Owl card that I made from the kit. I added the rhinestone eyes and a bow.
Here's the side view showing how the card looks opened. I cut two silhouettes that I made in Ecal software, one in white and one in brown for the base card. I glued those two together. I then cut a black shadow and glued that to the base. Then I put pop dots on each layer to give it dimension.

A really fun collection to make! Keep watching for more from this cute kit.

This is Mary's darling Owl.

Martha Stewart American Made Award Grand Prize Winners Leo and Mary

Announcement!

Martha Stewart American Made Award for 2013

** *Grand Prize Winners***

  Leo and Mary at svgcuts.com

Leo and Mary

If you've never met or seen this amazing couple, let me introduce them now.

When I first started using a cutting machine, years ago, I came across Leo and Mary's  site http://svgcuts.com/ and there began my journey. My first svg kit to buy from them, I remember was the beautifully designed Easter Eggs svg Collection http://svgcuts.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=11&products_id=2

My niece, Lisa and I were so happy to finally get to cut all these designs without using a Cartridge with our machines. We were in heaven and have followed Leo and Mary ever since. Over the years we've watched them bloom and grow their business with great care, love, dedication and lots of hard work. They offer First Class personalized customer service including phone service. Mary offers First Class svg kits that cut professionally and are easy to assemble. Leo offers First Class pictures and videos for step by step instructions for all Mary's kits. Come join all the fun and see all their creations on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/svgcuts

Now it's time for them to Shine!
What a great couple!
They were just married on September 20,2013.

Watch a Video  montage that was presented during their wedding reception.

*Congratulations* Leo and Mary!
