North Pole Express Train

All aboard everyone!!

Hi again my crafty friends!

Today I'm excited to share this cute train set with you.
This is from the "North Pole Express" kit over at Mary & Leo's svgcuts.com

Click below for the kit!

This is the Coal car with the tiny gift boxes inside.
Super fun to make!

Of course you need the Caboose car and it's all decked out with stripped paper. The top lid comes off
the Train engine and also the Caboose car in case you would like to put some goodies or add a couple of tea lights. I used clear velum in all the window so they glow at night when you add the lights.
This would be a darling display on any table or under your tree.
Great for someone that Love's to collect trains or a special gift for someone special on your list.

I hope you enjoyed my train and that I've inspired you once again.
Happy Crafting!
Hugs,
Misty

Clara's Christmas Toy Soldier

Hello my friends!
Just peeking in to share this darling Toy Soldier with you.
So fun to make!
I Love Christmas!

I was inspired by Susan's Toy Soldier's.
So cute!

I started out with Mary's "Clara's Christmas kit" using the Nutcracker file. See link below.
As you can tell, I glued his front face panel down too much, showing the open sides. I made this at night and wasn't paying close attention and got carried away with my glue. LOL
I created his front red cap in Ecal software, using shapes from the library and welding them together.
The cap wraps around his hat. Email me if you have any questions and I will be happy to help you if I can.
I will use solid core paper on the next ones, since you can see the white showing in the fold cuts.

This is last years Nutcracker that I made and a couple of Christmas cards from Mary's kits.

The Nutcracker that I used for my Toy Soldier is from "Clara's Christmas Eve" kit.

The Christmas Tree Card is from the "Christmas Cheer kit"

The Christmas Bicycle Card is from the "Spirits of Christmas Past kit"

Next I created the fringe for the back of his hat and added a silver star.

Side fringe

The leg fringe was also welded and using shapes within Ecal.

I think he turned out so cute and I may make a couple more in different colors. He stands 11" tall.

I hope that I've inspired you today.
That's it for another day my friends.
Have a nice week!
Hugs,
Misty

Gobbles N Wobbles Turkey In A Pie

Hi my friends!
Today I'm popping in with this darling Turkey in a pie just in time
for Thanksgiving. Yes, it's almost that time of year again.
Turkey, gravy and my famous cornbread stuffing. Yummy!

This darling file came from KaDoodle Bug designs "Gobbles n Wobbles" collection,
that I purchased some time ago.
I'm not sure if she still has this collection, but you could ask her.
You can check out all her darling creations on the link below.

Isn't he just the cutest ever!
He was cut out in white card stock and inked with Tim Holtz distressed inks and pieced together.
I think he would be cute as a magnet on my fridge or on a card or in a scrapbook.
