Hello my Crafty friends!
I've been busy getting my Valentine Display boards ready for my craft classes at Hobby Lobby and also the Aspen clubhouse. Have you had a moment when you start designing and draw a complete blank? Well, I did just! I didn't have a clue what to make or put on my display boards and waited until the LAST minute to finally finish them.
Lisa, my sweet niece in Iowa came to my rescue! Even though she lives in Iowa, it was like having her right here in Apple Valley. She was the owner of Lauren's Flower shop in Hemet for many years. She's a professional floral designer and created many gorgeous designs for weddings and elegant events.
One event that I remember was the Bob Hope special in Palm Springs. She received many awards throughout her career and is one of the sweetest gals you would ever want to meet.
Thanks Lisa for being there for me! HUGS!
Yeah! I took the finished board over to Hobby Lobby today and set it up on an easel in the front of the store. Whew! While I was setting it up and getting all my flyers and cards hooked onto the easel, some customers came over and said that they Loved my Beautiful display.
I'll be teaching card classes starting the week of January 7th until Valentines.
I'm going to be REALLY busy!
I Love creating cards and could craft 24-7!!
Hey, I think I need a little dog to bark and remind me it's lunch and dinner....LOL
I don't have any trouble with breakfast, but it's the other ones that seem to fly by.
Does anyone else have that problem???
I look forward to many Happy Crafting hours and meeting new crafters.
I LOVE CRAFTER'S!
Today, I would like to share this adorable Sweet Valentine LOVE U Heart Topiary cutout card.
I just love the way it turned out! I used the PDF printable file from Regina's Cutting Cafe and the sentiment. I made the PDF file into a cutting svg file.
You can get these printable files by clicking the link below.
This is the side view showing how I placed the design on the edge of the card base. I used my Sizzix Eclips and Ecal software and PSP to construct the card. For the circle scalloped edge, I used Martha Stewart boarder punch and glued a strip of black paper to the back and then white to make the inside piece stronger.
I printed out the sentiment and glued it to a scalloped circle that I ran through my newly won Fiskars machine. Now, I'm waiting to see if I win the extension pack on I believe the 16th of this month. Crossing fingers!! Then I will be able to use all my Big Shot dies. Yippee!
I pieced the red heart onto the black silhouette cutout paper, added gems and added the sentiment.
I pieced the pot and heart to the black silhouette base of the design and also added a few gems.
I really enjoyed making this sweet Valentine Heart Topiary card and hope that I've inspired you today. Regina over at The Cutting Cafe has soooo many wonderful printable and cutting files.

Ok, my friends its been a Loooong Saturday for me, so I will say goodbye for now.
