Maison de Madeline Large Rooster Clock

Hi my crafty friends!
Today I have something to "Crow" about!
On my last post, I made a small clock with gears for my daughter. For this clock, Suzanne suggested I make a very large clock using Mary's 3D Rooster card from the Maison de Madeline kit. I thought it would be a great idea since I have country in the kitchen.
I think it turned out adorable!
And, it's a real working clock!

Simply charming!

This large clock measures approximately 11" round. In eCal I sized each piece. I cut 3 brown 12 x 12 card stock for the base and  beige for the face of the clock. The numbers were cut out of black card stock. I took the parts from an old clock that I had. The hands worked perfectly and the back had a large base for hanging. It was pretty simple to assemble once we figured it out. I think I'll be checking a few thrift shops for old clock parts. A fun and easy clock to make for yourself or someone special.

The Rooster was sized to fit and was cut from colored card stock and inked with Tim Holtz distressed inks.

He's the perfect addition to our kitchen decor and would also make a lovely gift. You can use most any design or theme on the face. So many possibilities and choices to pick from. If you are interested in making a large clock and need the sizes of each piece, please email me and I will be happy to share the sizes.

That's it for another day my friends.
Have a wonderful week!
